How to reach your goal!

This year kids will be reading to reach a goal in order to win prizes.  The goal must be reached and turned in to the library by the end of the Reading Program on July 31st.

Read to me (ages 0-5): Children who aren't reading on their own yet have a goal to have 400 minutes read to them, which works out to 10 minutes per day.

Read on Own (ages 6-12): Children who can read have a goal of 800 minutes which works out to 20 minutes per day.

When a child is halfway to their goal they can come in to the library with their log and get a gift certificate to Applebees and a book.

Once a child has reached their goal they can turn their reading log into the library and they will receive an invitation to a pool party, a certificate of recognition and they can choose a book for the library in which we will place a book plate honoring them.
